Many members of post 1355 volunteered to work the VFW's booth this year at the Grange Fair.  We shared the benefits of belonging to the VFW, and discussed types of membership with many veterans.  Many asked questions about benefits for which our benefits specialist was on hand to help.

We were able to get 3 new members and two transfers from at-large memberships as well as a post transfer from out of state.

While there we were able to sell several hundred raffle tickets for our gun raffle.  We also had a survey of events that would attract the community to our post.  We learned a lot from this survey and will be implementing some of the ideas soon.

We look forward to next year's fair and the opportunity to make new friends and new members!
